PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
From 2006 to the present, Sharon has owned her own small business, Brown Consulting & Research, LLC in Wexford, PA where, as President & CEO, she has primary responsibilities of management and consultation with health and community program(s) for assessments, evaluations, and other research development needs. In 2009, she also began to work on a grant through the Community College of Allegheny County, for the systematic evaluation of nursing programs throughout five regional campuses.
Her past experiences as a nursing education professor at UCLA and California State University allowed her to see firsthand the effects on vulnerable populations, such as children, families, and seniors, from not having access to health care and educational services. It is through these experiences she has become devoted to ensuring that these individuals have a voice in determining the direction of their future.
