Scholarship

The McCandless Democratic Committee will award a $1000 scholarship to a North Allegheny senior planning to attend college in the fall. The scholarship is to recognize a student that has excelled academically and in their community, and exemplifies the values that we as Democrats hold dear.

The applicant must meet the following requirements:

• Be a registered Democrat or the child of a registered Democrat
• QPA of 3.0
• SAT scores
• Volunteer in the community and school
• Complete an essay
• Interviewed by the scholarship committee - April 12, 2012

Applicants must complete all portions of the application and include a copy of their SAT scores, transcript and the essay by April 6, 2012. Finalists will present their essay to the scholarship committee.
